The Mercedes-Benz C-Class's seventh consecutive year-over-year Canadian sales increase in November 2016 was more than enough for Mercedes-Benz Canada's top-selling vehicle to claim the crown of Canada's best-selling luxury vehicle.

C-Class volume jumped 43%, a gain of 307 units, to 1028 November sales. The C-Class outsold the next-best-selling Audi Q5 by 255 units; the next-best-selling car, BMW's 3-Series, by 404 units.

Among Canada's 15 top-selling premium brand vehicles in November, 11 were utility vehicles.
Among Canada's 15 best-selling $50,000+ vehicles, all 15 are SUVs and crossovers.

$50,000 CDN (before delivery) is an arbitrary borderline, but if GCBC was to follow this new system of designating only expensive vehicles as luxury vehicles, $50K seemed like a safe place to begin - it equals the approximate average U.S. new car transaction price plus $15,000, plus another $5000 to account for Canadian increases. Plenty of less expensive vehicles with specific models feature prices above $50,000 - M, RS, and AMG models come to mind, specifically - but in the case of this list, we know that none of the registrations were of cars priced below $50,000.
